Chain — how it works

A path-building puzzle on a 5x5 grid. Drag through touching tiles to build a chain — each step has to land on the same number or exactly one higher. Long chains pay far more, but the combo multiplier dies in under three seconds, so every route is a bet on how greedy you can afford to be.

How to play

1. 1Drag through touching tiles — diagonals count.
2. 2Each step must be the same number or exactly one higher.
3. 3Three tiles minimum; longer routes are worth far more.
4. 4Chain again within three seconds to build the multiplier.

A run takes about 60 seconds. There is no account, no download and no database — your scores and streak are kept in this browser only, and the leaderboard roster is simulated for this early version.
